SHCV - Siberian Husky Jells Park Pet Walk

Where are we going?

Jells Park, Wheelers Hill. Melway Map 72 A8. A top walk for Huskys and their families with picnic areas and playgrounds.

This one is scheduled to be an early morning walk so that we can get in before the day gets too hot.

We'll meet in the car park off Ferntree Gully Road, Wheelers Hill. The Wheelers Hill Farmers Market is usually on between 8am and 1pm, so feel free to swing by there for breakfast and coffee.

What is special about this walk?

On-leash only: dogs must be on lead at all times for this walk
Pram-friendly paved park setting, some slightly hilly sections
There is a kiosk and toilets in the park. Shops are located nearby
This is a popular bike track and all paths are considered to be shared
As always in park settings during the warmer months, keep to the paths and keep an eye out for snakes.
Remember to respect the wildlife within the park at all times.
This is an inland walk. In the event of defined inappropropriate weather, the Pet Walks Cancellation Policy is applicable.

What to bring?

Bring a picnic or BBQ lunch plus the usual pet walk items, ie:

Water and bowl for your wolfie
Poo bags - a must for this walk!
Dog snacks
Dog stake and chain (optional)
Small First Aid kit
Lunch
Sunglasses
Sunblock
Hat
Day backpack

Could all members planning on attending walks please put the co-ordinator's mobile phone number into their own phones in case they get lost on the way to the meeting point, or find that they are in the wrong place altogether! If it is close to the meeting time and you can't find us then just call for help! We are happy to wait until you arrive if you let us know.
