Koomba Park Pet Walk

Located on Burwood Highway near Mountain Highway, this is a large tract of land hardly seen from the road but affords a beautiful and peaceful walking environment (and cycling also). It covers an area of 92ha with defined (and not so defined) walking/cycling trails.
Small billabongs etc. exist as part of the Dandenong Creek system and as such bird life is quite plentiful. Dogs must be on lead at all times. The trail network through Koomba Park incorporates both the Dandenong Creek Trail, which branches off to a pretty boardwalk section, and the Eastlink Trail that continues to follow the Eastlink Freeway.

Could all members planning on attending walks please put the co-ordinator's mobile phone number into their own phones in case they get lost on the way to the meeting point, or find that they are in the wrong place altogether! If it is close to the meeting time and you can't find us then just call for help! We are happy to wait until you arrive if you let us know.
